What is a black seed? It is the seed of nigella sativa, and some believe it is the "remedy for everything but death."  It is a powerful healing herb that has deep cultural and historical roots.  It is an illustration that small things can hold great capacity to rebuild and restore.

We seek to rebuild and restore our community by building access to local, healthy food.  We do this by employing youth, some of whom are recent immigrants and refugees.  We do this by working with farmers in Worcester County.

When you order from our website, subscribe to Market Share or come to a market, you are investing in food security.  You are also supporting our mission to train and employee youth in Worcester.

We are not currently taking online orders.  Please visit us at market on Fridays, 2 PM - 4 PM, and visit our products page to see some of the many things that we offer throughout the season.
